Self-development

The aspiration for higher, extreme personal ideals – the sense of life, harmony, happiness, community with Divine – it is an integral part of every person. The desire of self-development is initially granted to people, this is a primordial quality of a person which can never be lost or diminished or exterminated, not by a person himself from within nor by anybody from the outside. This gift can only be overlooked in a mundane rush, or one may try to fence oneself off from it by a wall of material pragmatism, it can be fiercely denied, but it is not in power of a man to silence the call of his own Nature.  

  • We believe that happiness, harmony, perfection is given to a man not as a beam of light which only occasionally gets through the thick fog, but as an endless blue sky, which is there all the time.  

  • We think that seeking for senses and yearning for self-developement of oneself are the most important things in life of a person.  

  • We consider that we can study and work not only with the aim to provide oneself with food and satisfy one’s everyday material needs, but in first place with the aim of bringing to life one’s dearest and most daring dream…  

Nowadays the appeals to the core of humanity, spirituality can be found in literature, science, art and in the hearts of many people. But there is a huge gap between high ideals and their mundane realization, between the flashes of light and purity in one’s soul and the ability to live in this light forever, between “I want to” and “I can”. Spiritual fruitlessness of life becomes a normal state of affairs; it becomes firmly rooted in one’s consciousness as a hopeless divide of existence: dream – reality, spiritual – lay, a need – a possibility…  

 

When the answer to a question WHY becomes clear, there immediately rises the question HOW?! Self-developement requires special skills, abilities, and in some aspects (in which?!!) highly professional qualities and knowledge. It is intuitively clear to a person that the work on oneself is a special kind of work, special attitude, a special vision of the world… So how then a person acknowledges himself? Where? With what? What to start with and how not to stop on the chosen rout?  

 

Russian non-profit public organization “Solar Wind” carries out enlightening activities in the area of self-developement, it creates the space and conditions for individual and group practices, creative self-expression, research projects and it also contributes to organisation of thematic studying processes. Currently the main projects carried out by “Solar Wind” are the seminar centre RATIS and out-of-town culturally enlightening centre BEREZHOK
